Outdoor Screening at Landhuis Bloemhof

Winner of the 2025 Yellow Robin Award – Listen to the Voices –

On Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 PM, the Curaçao International Film Festival (CIFF) invites audiences to a special outdoor screening at Landhuis Bloemhof of Listen to the Voices by Maxime Jean-Baptiste, winner of the 2025 Yellow Robin Award.

Set in French Guiana, the film tells the moving story of 13-year-old Melrick, who spends the summer with his grandmother Nicole in Cayenne. As Melrick’s passion for drumming begins to grow, it stirs memories of Nicole’s son Lucas, a gifted drummer whose life ended tragically years earlier. As past wounds resurface, the family must confront grief, anger, and the lingering shadows of loss.

Through Melrick’s journey, Listen to the Voices explores themes of forgiveness, healing, and the enduring strength of family bonds. With its intimate storytelling and powerful performances, the film offers a deeply human portrait of resilience and remembrance.

This special screening will take place under the stars in the garden of Landhuis Bloemhof, providing audiences with a unique cinematic experience in one of Curaçao’s most inspiring cultural locations.
