Free School Film Screenings at the Curaçao International Film Festival

Education Program

Education Program

Each year, the Curaçao International Film Festival warmly invites schools to take part in its Education Program, offering teachers the opportunity to register their classes for exclusive, free school screenings during the festival.

The festival provides a unique learning environment where teachers and students come together to experience the magic of cinema in all its diversity. Through carefully selected films from around the world, students are introduced to new perspectives, cultures, and stories that encourage reflection, discussion, and creative thinking.

To maximize the educational impact, lesson plans and teaching materials are provided in advance, allowing teachers to prepare students and connect the film experience to classroom learning. After the screening, films can be further explored through guided discussions, helping students develop critical thinking skills, empathy, and media awareness.

This year Curaçao International Film Festival is pleased to offer free film screenings for schools at The Movies.

The school screenings will take place on April 15, 16 & 17, 2026.

Below you will find detailed information about the selected films, followed by the registration link for your school. Please note that the registration deadline is March 16, 2026, without exception.
